From Idea to Impact –
The Next Evolution in Linked Scholarly Information
We are making all COVID-19 relevant records from Dimensions available – as a dataset on BigQuery to work with and as an interactive dashboard showing COVID-19 related funding, publications and clinical trials.
Enriched and linked data
With Dimensions, you can search across multiple content types, ranging from publications to grants, clinical trials, patents, datasets and policy documents. The linking of all these data enables you to view the items returned in context, gain new insights from complex analytics, and trace the relationships between your results; for example, review the funders or grants behind a publication, or identify where published research led to a patent or a mention in a policy document.
Bringing data to life – Dimensions products
Dimensions delivers an array of search and discovery, analytical, and research management tools, all in a single platform. Alongside the free access module for individual researchers, there are unique product versions, each designed to support the research community groups they serve. We have also developed APIs that interrogate the rich and networked data.
Free access for scientometric research
At Digital Science, we focus on aggregating, improving, de-siloing and linking the Dimensions data as effectively as possible. However, from the early days of Dimensions, it has always been our position that the metrics and indicators used to assess the impact of research and future funding, should be owned by the research community, not a vendor. That is why we actively encourage the bibliometric research community to draw on our rich data set and platform. Our hope is that these resources will fuel innovative methods to assess the impact and management of research in research organizations.
