Digital Science appointed Dr. Leslie McIntosh as Vice President of Research Integrity in February 2023. This comes with the integration of Ripeta into the Dimensions family. Ripeta products, now known as Dimensions Research Integrity, have been developed to address research integrity challenges. Research integrity issues will be the central theme posing challenges for scholarly communications in the coming years.

Dimensions Research Integrity, uses AI technologies to detect key research “trust markers” in academic manuscripts and publications, such as funding and data availability statements. The tool covers 33 million research articles, conference proceedings, book chapters, and preprints published since 2010. Because collaboration between publishers, institutions, funders, and researchers is crucial to ensure ethical, transparent, and rigorous processes in scholarly communication, the Dimensions Research Integrity products will be of use for these sectors.
