A special webinar in partnership with the European Summer School for Scientometrics (ESSS)
Dimensions is a unique database that extends beyond traditional publication and citation databases by including the whole research and innovation lifecycle including grants metadata, patents, clinical trials and policy documents.
In this webinar, which is aimed specifically at scientometric researchers, we will introduce you to our latest innovation: access to the full Dimensions dataset via Google BigQuery on Google Cloud. This unlocks the full potential of the world’s largest research information database, enabling even complex, large scale analyses to be done at speed using SQL. BigQuery makes it easy to combine Dimensions data securely with other external databases and research information systems. It also opens up an additional toolset for AI and ML, including Tensorflow and BigQuery ML. BigQuery offers programmatic access via a range of client libraries (including Python and R), and integrates directly with data visualization tools like Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI, Data Studio, dotAtlas and Plot.ly.
Our presenters will be:
Juergen Wastl, Director Academic Relations & Consultancy
Isabel Thompson, Head of Data Platform
Simon Porter, Director of Innovation
