The International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP) held its 19th annual meeting in Washington DC recently. Among the various events was the showcase of 70 posters that provided valuable insights into the field of medical publication. And the standout poster that took home the Best Practice award was the one titled “A Tale of Three Dashboards: The Use of Interactive Data Visualization in Oncology Publishing.” Part of the award-winning team was Digital Science’s Erikka Brewer and Travis Vaught.

The team, which also included authors from Pfizer, Inc. and inScience Communications, Springer Nature, used the poster to underline best practices in the area of interactive data visualization and its indispensable role in the field of oncology publishing. Through the use of three distinct dashboards, all of which have been developed using Dimensions data capabilities, the authors showed how visual tools can enhance the understanding and communication of complex oncological data. The poster clearly highlighted how data visualization can be a powerful asset for researchers, medical professionals, and other stakeholders involved in oncology.
