Digital Science and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) are pleased to announce an agreement that will provide Dimensions to the publishing organization within AAAS. The Dimensions platform brings together over 95 million publications, $1.3tn of grants, 400,000 clinical trials, 35 million patents, and their associated metrics.

Dimensions enables publishers to delve into a breadth of data and metrics to perform invaluable analyses and translate them into actionable business intelligence. Powerful search, visualizations and reporting functionality provide publishers with groundbreaking analytical capabilities to track research and funding trends, support publishing processes, and inform strategic planning.

Speaking about the adoption of Dimensions within AAAS, Product Development Manager Hannah Heckner commented, “With the built-out funding data, connected with amazingly robust publication, patent, and clinical trial information, we see this tool as one that will be useful across many different business cases. We anticipate utilizing Dimensions to aid in horizon scanning for new Science journals, selecting the best peer reviewers for existing Science titles, enhancing market data to support our advertising and marketing team, and helping our institutional licensing team better identify new and support existing partners.”

Christian Herzog, CEO of the Data and Analytics group at Digital Science, adds, “Digital Science has been a proud partner of AAAS for a number of years and we look forward to expanding that relationship by providing access to Dimensions to uniquely inform AAAS’ editorial strategy, business intelligence, and institutional engagement tactics.”
