Today, the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and Digital Science are pleased to announce an Agreement that will provide access to Digital Science’s Dimensions product (a linked network research knowledge system). ACM, the world’s largest educational and scientific computing society, provides the computing field’s premier Digital Library and serves its members and the computing profession with leading-edge publications, conferences, and career resources.
With Dimensions, ACM has access to powerful search and analytical tools that will make it possible to gather insights to more effectively guide long-term strategic planning and landscape analysis. Dimensions interlinks more than 95 million publications, $1.3 trillion in grants and funding data, 400,000 clinical trials and 35 million patents, as well as provides associated metrics.
ACM Director of Publications Scott Delman commented on the agreement: “Our editorial and sales and marketing staff has been looking for tools that can help us better identify suitable reviewers for our scholarly publications; identify emerging areas of science and technology to support our growth initiatives; make strong connections between research funders and funding trends and data, scholarly outputs (including publications, data and software, and other artifacts, and innovations) and impact. A tool that does all of these things is truly unique, and I think we’ve found that in Digital Science’s new Dimensions product.”
