Digital Science and Emerald Publishing announced an agreement that provides access to Dimensions to users across the Emerald Publishing organization. Dimensions provides data visualizations and reporting capabilities to gather advanced insights and assess the real-world impact of their author’s research.

Dimensions brings together over 97 million publications, $1.3tn of grants, 400,000 clinical trials, 37 million patents, 365,00 policy documents, and their associated metrics. With Dimensions, Emerald Publishing has access to a robust and connected publication database that will help asses the societal impact of a journal, discover peer reviewers and aid in pipeline strategy and development.

Tony Roche, SVP Publishing & Strategic Relationships at Emerald, comments: “Bringing Dimensions on board enhances our data analysis capabilities.  The tool enhances Emerald’s ability to provide our communities with content, connections and services that meet their emerging needs, whether they be researchers, research managers, library and information professionals, or corporate customers.”

Christian Herzog, CEO of the Data and Analytics group at Digital Science, adds, “We are proud to serve Emerald with a data-based solution and this collaboration aims to further their mission to support meaningful, real-world impact.”
