Digital Science and BioOne announce today an agreement that will provide Dimensions Analytics to BioOne staff members. BioOne is a community-driven, nonprofit publisher with more than 200 subscribed and open-access titles in the biological, ecological, and environmental sciences. Dimensions will enable BioOne to delve into a breadth of data and metrics to perform invaluable analyses and translate them into actionable business intelligence. BioOne will utilize the powerful analytical features to monitor trends in the Open Access landscape and to help shape their sales and business development strategies.

The Dimensions platform brings together over 100 million publications, $1.5 trillion of awarded research grants, 450,000 clinical trials, 38 million patents, 400,000 policy documents, and their associated metrics. With its rich data landscape, Dimensions provides publishers with the insights they need to shape, track, and deliver on their core strategic goals.

“Our partnership with Dimensions gives BioOne the power to make informed strategic decisions for the organization, as well as to provide guidance for the benefit of our publishing partners,” says Susan Skomal, BioOne President & CEO. “This tool fills a need that is becoming increasingly vital as the scholarly communications environment evolves.”

Christian Herzog, CEO Dimensions, adds, “We proudly partner with BioOne by providing a data-based solution to support their mission of increasing the accessibility and integration of content with a global network of scholarly exchange.”
