Russell is an assistant professor in the Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship group at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management.
His research focuses primarily on network science, technology strategy, and the science of science. Findings from his work have been published in a number of different outlets, including sociology and management journals Administrative Science Quarterly, Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Management Science, and MIS Quarterly, and health care and medical journals like JAMA Surgery, Medical Care, Health Services Research, and Annals of Surgery, among others.
